I wanted to thank you for the excellent outcome of my hernia repair. You treated me with respect and care. The surgery went very well and now, at the two and a half week point after surgery, I can run, lift boxes, etc and don’t ever feel the repair. You are clearly very good at what you do. Also, I want to mention that the Midtown Surgery Center staff are very good and I would not hesitate to recommend the center to anyone. All in all, I feel that I got the very best care available today.

Just over a year ago, January 13, 2014, Dr. Jacob repaired two inguinal, and one femoral hernia for me.

His fine work has been put to every test since February 2014, until this month,January 2015, and has passed each of them, every season in turn: Digging in the garden, turning compost, mowing the lawn, raking leaves, and most recently, shoveling snow. His own confidence, expressed before and after the surgery during my office visits with him was “catching” and made up for any deficit in mine. Thank you, Dr.Jacob, for making it possible for me to resume my normal physical life this past year, and undoubtedly, for the years to come.

Dr Jacob – its been almost exactly one year since you repaired my hernia, at the Mid-town Surgery Center. You had said that at the one year point, a check up was recommended, but that I would have forgotten you by then.

Well, the repair is indeed perfect – thanks for doing such a good job. Such a good job that I do remember you, but won’t be coming in for the check-up. At this point it’s totally un-noticeable and free of any sensation etc. Thanks you.

At the 9 month point I went sailing for a week – fairly strenuous activity. I did get some actual aching at that time that would last several days. I told myself that the mesh was partially dissolving and that I was probably tearing some scar tissue. Within a week it was back to un-noticeable. The “ache” didn’t even warrant an aspirin.
