Providing Value to Hernia Repairs

Expert hernia surgeons continuously care about optimizing patient outcomes and learning from patient feedback.  By creating a global collaborative focused on hernia outcome quality improvement, Dr. Brian Jacob has embraced social media in a professional manner to enable surgeons to help their thousands of hernia patients around the globe.

The online forum deliberations have become quite important and have shown that robotics is emerging as a tool some surgeons wish to employ to assist in hernia repairs.  Consequently, Dr. Jacob created a live conference to help the many distinguished faculty showcase their expertise and opinions on this topic, and to hopefully come to consensus on technique. The First Annual Global Symposium on Robotic-Assisted and Minimally Invasive Hernia Repair is expecting over 200 in attendance, and The General Surgery News recently published this amazing overview:
